Medical Education in China

China, one of the fastest developing nations in the world is staggeringly vast and a land of great diversity. It is world’s most populous and third largest nation which is more like a continent in itself than a country. Stretching from its southern borders in the Himalayas to the deserts of magnolia in the north, and form the East China Sea through the Yangzi River Valley plains to the Tibetan Plateau in the western mainland, China covers an area of nearly 96 lakhs square kilometers.

The main task of higher education in China is to train specialists for all the sectors of the country’s development. Universities, colleges and institutes, make up China’s higher educational system. Many teachers have been sent abroad for advanced training and lectures or research.

China has opened its doors for foreigners who wished to come down to China for higher education. Universities in China are becoming highly international, For international students, the medium of instruction is English. Many Indians, Pakistani, Nepalese,  Srilankan and student of other countries are studying in China. The best thing about the medical education offered by China is that it offers international education at an affordable cost. Even an average middle class family can afford of sending their children for a medical doctor degree in China.
